Duet A/B is an interactive imagination composition that intertwines and expands the experiences of Duet A and Duet B, adapted to the vast hall of Dordtyard. This work explores the delicate interplay between two mirrored compositions, creating a fluid dialogue between space, sound, and participant interaction.
Duet A is a poetic meditation on how every room you enter shapes who you become, as if guiding you back to the currents of your childhood room. In contrast, Duet B reflects on the paths we walk throughout life—how they sometimes intersect with others, yet ultimately drift apart, leaving behind only fleeting moments of connection.
Participants are guided by headphones as they navigate a mirrored environment, encountering reflections and auditory cues that shift with their movements. The dual structure amplifies the relationship between the self and the other, emphasizing both isolation and interconnectedness in shared space.
As the participants move, the piece unfolds in layered dimensions—blending sonic pathways, physical gestures, and fleeting visual compositions. The space itself becomes part of the performance, shaped by the choreography of bodies and reflections, with each interaction leaving behind subtle traces that linger for a moment before fading.
