Room D

2015

Room D is an Interactive Imagination Composition designed for eight participants, guiding them through a shared yet individual exploration of perception, connection, and self-awareness.

Wearing headphones, participants are invited to close their eyes and imagine specific scenarios, following audio instructions that lead them through personal and collective experiences. At moments, they open their eyes and shift positions across a grid, encountering others in unexpected face-to-face interactions.

Each participant becomes a distinct color in the imagined landscape of another, creating an interplay between the internal and external. As the experience unfolds, Room D transforms into a dynamic, living composition—shaped by the movements and thoughts of those within it.

Commissioned by workspacebrussels, Room D blends guided imagination with subtle physical choreography, bridging the invisible and the tangible. It offers a poetic reflection on the intersections of presence, memory, and shared space.
